I don’t think anyone expects it, and I can tell you for sure that I did not, but at some point, at some time in your life, most people will experience what Brenda calls “a shattering.” This can certainly happen numerous times in life, and at varying degrees of intensity. She describes it as a time when you encounter something or an event in your life that suddenly shifts your conscious belief of your reality.
Looking back on mine, it can be a period of extreme growth. Yet, it can also be a time that dumps you into depression and sickness. How it plays out has a lot to do with the way it’s handled and the support through it. My shattering experience had to do with extreme and personal betrayal that was beyond my prior comprehension, and resulted in devastating loss. It was at this time that I found Brenda (which was sort of a miracle in itself).
I cannot express fully the comfort I felt and had in Brenda. She knew the extent of my “shattering,” and what I was going through. She helped me realize that I could not only make it through this horrendous period, but I would also grow from it! She supported me and guided me through. I guess I now understand the full extent of “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.” I so appreciate Brenda is in this world for me. She has also been there to help and support family members through this event and with other life issues of their own. She has a gift that goes beyond imagination.
